No. Proof works standalone for proofing and selection workflows. Vault adds hi-res storage and delivery — when both are connected, client selections automatically generate hi-res delivery galleries with ZIP downloads. But Proof is fully functional on its own.
Install the plugin in Lightroom Classic, configure your Proof and Vault API keys, and select "Clearframe Proof" as an export destination. You configure the gallery title, type, password, and client info in the export dialog. The plugin creates the gallery and uploads each photo automatically. With Vault enabled, it performs a dual upload — hi-res to Vault, proxy to Proof.
Proofing galleries show proxy-quality images for fast loading. When the client submits their selections, the hi-res versions are delivered through Vault with a branded download portal and ZIP generation. Free Download galleries allow direct downloads of the displayed images, gated by email capture.
